The 2026 International Women’s Day theme, “Give To Gain,” calls for a transformative mindset rooted in generosity, collaboration, and shared progress.
Women from Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area proudly participated in the celebration held at the historic Onikan Stadium, Lagos, where they showcased the strength, unity, resilience, and warmth that define the women of the LCDA.
The event, which drew women from various local government areas across Lagos State, served as a platform to celebrate the achievements, contributions, and enduring impact of women in governance, entrepreneurship, community development, and nation-building.
The Ayobo-Ipaja delegation stood out prominently at the event, representing the LCDA with dignity and pride. Their presence reflected the Council’s ongoing commitment to promoting gender inclusion, supporting women-led initiatives, and fostering equitable participation in governance and community development.
Under the leadership of Hon. (Dr.) Agbaje Lukmon Abiodun, the Council continues to champion policies and programmes that empower women socially and economically. The administration recognizes that empowering women is central to sustainable development and grassroots transformation.
