Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA) on Monday,13th of April, received a nine man monitoring team from the Lagos State Ministry of Local Government Community Affairs and Rural Development, led by Mr. Ayodele Solesi, director of monitoring on an official inspection tour of ongoing and completed projects executed by the administration of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Dr. Agbaje Lukman Abiodun.
The inspection exercise formed part of the Ministry’s statutory oversight responsibilities aimed at assessing project quality, compliance with specifications, and overall impact on grassroots development across local councils in the state.
Hon. Dr. Agbaje Lukman Abiodun ably represented by the Council Manager, Mrs Bankole Bawa appreciated the Ministry for the visit and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transparent governance and impactful projects that address the needs of residents and welfare of the entire workforce. She reiterated that the LCDA would continue to partner with the state government to drive inclusive development in Ayobo-Ipaja.
During the visit, the Ministry’s delegation toured key infrastructural and social development projects in the LCDA, receiving detailed briefings from relevant council officials. The team also commended the level of progress recorded and noted the visible improvements in service delivery and community welfare under the current administration.
During the visit, Mr. Ayodele Solesi expressed satisfaction with the standard of execution observed on the projects, describing them as aligned with the development objectives of the Lagos State Government. He also urged the executive chairman to focus more on skill acquisition programmes for youths and women for sustainability to improve livelihoods of residents.
The visitation concluded with a vote of thanks by the Council Manager and recommendations from the visitors aimed at further strengthening local governance and ensuring optimal benefits of the projects to the people of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA.
