The Majority Leader serves as the principal spokesperson and coordinator for the majority caucus in the House. The office manages the legislative agenda, prioritizes bills, and works closely with leadership to ensure the majority’s objectives are achieved.
Responsibilities
- Leads the majority caucus in planning and promoting legislative priorities
- Coordinates bill scheduling, debate timelines, and voting arrangements
- Represents the majority in negotiations and leadership discussions
- Facilitates communication between the majority caucus and House leadership
- Guides members on legislative strategy and policy alignment
- Supports the passage of key motions, resolutions, and bills
As a central figure in legislative strategy, the Majority Leader ensures that the majority caucus functions cohesively and effectively influences the legislative direction of the House.
