Ayobo/Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA) is set to welcome the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs for an official oversight and inspection visit scheduled to hold on Monday, July 6, 2026.
The Executive Chairman of Ayobo/Ipaja LCDA, Hon. Sanni Ganiyu Babatunde Okanlawon, on behalf of the Executive Members, Legislative Arm, Management Team, and Staff, will receive the delegation at the Council Hall as part of the Committee’s statutory oversight responsibilities.
The inspection visit is expected to provide an opportunity for the Committee to assess the Council’s administrative operations, review ongoing developmental projects, and engage with Council officials on key governance initiatives aimed at improving service delivery at the grassroots.
The visit underscores the Lagos State Government’s commitment to promoting transparency, accountability, and effective local governance through regular legislative oversight of Local Government Councils and Local Council Development Areas.
Speaking ahead of the visit, the Executive Chairman expressed the Council’s readiness to host the delegation and reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to prudent management of public resources, infrastructural development, and the delivery of people-centred programmes across Ayobo/Ipaja LCDA.
The Council also looks forward to receiving the Chairman of the Committee, Hon. (Dr.) Agbaje Lukmon Abiodun, and other distinguished members of the delegation for what is expected to be a productive and insightful engagement.
