Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has taken a significant step toward strengthening grassroots governance with the official swearing-in of newly appointed Supervisors and Special Advisers by the Executive Chairman, Hon. (Dr.) Agbaje Lukman Abiodun.
The ceremony, which was held in an atmosphere of optimism and renewed commitment, marks the beginning of a new phase aimed at accelerating development and improving service delivery across the LCDA.
In his address, Hon. Agbaje Lukman Abiodun charged the newly inaugurated Supervisors and Special Advisers to see their appointments as a call to selfless service rather than mere positions of authority. He emphasized the importance of transparency, accountability, and teamwork, urging them to remain dedicated to the welfare of the people at all times.
Also, the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Ahmad Yusuf, congratulated the appointees on their well-deserved appointments and implored them to discharge their responsibilities with diligence, commitment, and a strong sense of purpose, in order to deliver meaningful and impactful contributions to the overall development of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA.
Adding his voice, Hon. Wole Aina advised all the appointees to maintain a close working relationship with the Executive Chairman, stressing that unity and cooperation are essential for effective governance. He urged the appointees to be of good conduct in discharge of their duties to the development and progress of LCDA.
The Council Manager, Mrs. Bankole-Bawa Funmibi, also urged the appointees to key into the Chairman’s developmental vision, noting that their collective success would not only uplift the council area but also position Hon. Agbaje among the most outstanding local government chairmen in Lagos State.
The event was graced by several dignitaries, including the Chairperson, Mrs. Balikis Yetunde Agbaje, political leaders, representatives of the Ayobo Divisional Police Office and management staff.
