Forum focuses on new initiatives, fiscal planning, and sustainable economic development.
Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area, today held its 2026 Budget Stakeholders’ Consultative Forum at the 12th Legacy Hotel, themed “New Initiatives for Economic Development in Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA” The event brought together community leaders, CDC, religious leaders, youth representatives, artisans, market associations, and residents to deliberate on the diverse needs and interests of stakeholders ahead of the 2026 fiscal year.
The forum served as a platform to ensure that the voices and priorities of all community members are adequately reflected in the council’s forthcoming budget.
In his keynote address, the Executive Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, Hon. Agbaje Lukman Abiodun underscored the importance of inclusive participation in the budgetary process. He reaffirmed the council’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and participatory governance, assuring residents that the 2026 budget would be designed and implemented in a way that directly benefits all sectors of the community.
Hon. Agbaje also highlighted several impactful projects completed so far in 2025 across key sectors, including Works and Infrastructure, Education, Environment, Health, Agriculture, and Social Protection, noting that these initiatives have significantly improved the living standards of residents.
Speaking at the event, the Apex Leader of Alimosho Federal Constituency, Hon. Bisi Yusuf commended the council’s proactive engagement with stakeholders and assured participants that their contributions would be duly considered in the final budget.
Also, in attendance, Mr. Kadiri Olanrewaju, Head of the Economic Unit, MEP & B, Alausa, emphasized the importance of aligning local development goals with the Lagos State Development Plan, a 30-year strategic framework aimed at ensuring a safe, secure, and well-structured society.
During the session, stakeholders presented a comprehensive list of community needs and developmental priorities, which were duly noted by the council leadership for inclusion in the 2026 budget.
Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA remains steadfast in its mission to drive sustainable economic growth, improve public welfare, and ensure inclusive governance. The council pledged to work diligently to ensure the effective implementation of the 2026 budget in line with the aspirations of the community.
