Vice Chairman

The Vice Chairman serves as the second-highest executive officer of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, supporting the Chairman in delivering effective governance and ensuring continuity in leadership. The office works closely with all departments to coordinate programmes, monitor implementation, and strengthen public service delivery across the LCDA.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assists the Executive Chairman in administering all executive functions of the LCDA
  • Oversees specific departments and programmes assigned by the Chairman
  • Coordinates inter-departmental activities to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Represents the Chairman during official duties when delegated
  • Supports policy formulation and monitors the execution of council initiatives
  • Engages with community stakeholders, local groups, and development partners
  • Ensures continuity of governance and smooth running of the council’s operations

The Vice Chairman plays a vital role in maintaining effective administration and ensuring that governance processes remain uninterrupted. By working alongside the Executive Chairman and other principal officers, the Vice Chairman strengthens operational efficiency, promotes community engagement, and supports initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of residents.
