The Executive Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Dr. Lukman Agbaje has presented official vehicles to Legislative Council members in a move aimed at strengthening governance and improving service delivery within the council.
Speaking during a brief ceremony, Dr. Agbaje described the event as a significant step toward enhancing the effectiveness of the Legislative Council.
He emphasized the critical role of the lawmakers in lawmaking, oversight, and representation, noting that their contributions are essential to ensuring that the government remains responsive to the needs of the people.
According to him, the vehicles are not merely official assets but practical tools designed to support the councillors in carrying out their responsibilities.
He explained that improved mobility would enable them to engage more closely with their constituents across various wards and better understand grassroots concerns.
The Chairman urged the beneficiaries to continue discharging their duties with dedication, integrity, and a strong commitment to the development of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA.
He also highlighted the importance of sustained cooperation between the Executive and Legislative arms of government in driving progress within the council.
The presentation of the vehicles was received with appreciation by the Legislative Council members led by the Leader, Hon. Farouk Bamidele, who expressed readiness to intensify their efforts in delivering quality representation and service to their constituents.
Adding that the vehicle will help in discharging their Legislative duties.
