Following the persistent accumulation of refuse along major roads within the Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA), the Executive Chairman, Dr. Lukman Agbaje, has strongly condemned the illegal dumping of waste.
Dr. Agbaje described the act as a serious threat to the health, safety, and overall well-being of residents in the area.
He urged members of the public to dispose of their waste properly to ensure easy and efficient collection by approved Private Sector Participation (PSP) waste operators.
The Chairman noted that the council has consistently cleared heaps of refuse from roadsides in order to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
He further reiterated that a task force has been constituted to arrest offenders, warning that anyone caught engaging in illegal dumping will face the full weight of the law.
