The vaccination campaign is scheduled to run from Tuesday, January 27th to Wednesday, February 5th, 2026, targeting children aged 9 months to 14 years.
To ensure maximum coverage and accessibility, vaccination services will be administered across multiple locations including:
- All Primary Health Centres (PHCs)
- Public and private schools
- Markets
- Churches
- Mosques
- Designated community vaccination posts within Ayobo–Ipaja LCDA
The vaccines are completely free, safe, and highly effective, in line with national and World Health Organization (WHO) standards.
Speaking on the initiative, the Chairman reaffirmed the council’s commitment to community health and child welfare.
“Health is wealth. Let us work together to keep our children safe from preventable diseases. I urge all parents and guardians to bring out their children for vaccination so that no child is left unprotected,”
— Hon. Dr. Agbaje Lukmon Abiodun, Executive Chairman, Ayobo–Ipaja LCDA.
The Measles and Rubella Vaccination Campaign forms part of the Lagos State Government’s broader public health strategy to eliminate vaccine-preventable diseases and promote a healthier future for all children.
Residents are encouraged to cooperate fully with health officials and mobilization teams throughout the exercise.
