In a significant move to enhance revenue collection efficiency and improve transportation within the council area, the Executive Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, Hon. Agbaje Lukman Abiodun, officially handed over two new revenue mini shuttle buses to the Area Officers at the council secretariat in Igbogila on January 14, 2025.

The presentation was witnessed by key members of the management team, led by the Council’s Director of Administration, Mr. Babatunde Saheed, alongside other senior staff and dignitaries.

This initiative, which marks a pivotal step towards modernizing revenue collection mechanisms within the local government area, aims to streamline operations, reduce delays, and ensure timely service delivery to the residents of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA.

Hon. Abiodun, while handing over the vehicles, emphasized the importance of improving infrastructural and operational capacity within the council’s revenue generation department. He urged the Area Officers to put the vehicles to good use, ensuring they contribute to a more effective and responsive administration for the benefit of the people.

“We are committed to creating a more robust and efficient local government that serves the needs of our residents. This step is just one of many aimed at improving service delivery and fostering economic growth in Ayobo-Ipaja,” said Hon. Abiodun during the handover.

The newly acquired shuttle buses are expected to improve mobility for officers tasked with revenue collection across the various sectors of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, thereby boosting efficiency and enabling them to reach more areas within shorter timeframes.

The management team, led by Mr. Babatunde Saheed, also expressed gratitude to Hon. Abiodun for his leadership and continuous efforts to improve the council’s operational framework.

This investment is part of the ongoing effort to ensure that Ayobo-Ipaja remains one of the most efficient and progressive councils in Lagos State.
