The Public Affairs Unit serves as the official communication bridge between the LCDA and the public, ensuring transparency, accurate information flow, and effective community engagement. The unit manages media relations, issues public statements, coordinates press coverage, and ensures residents are well-informed about government programmes, policies, and achievements. It also monitors public feedback, supports crisis communication, and promotes a positive image of the LCDA through strategic messaging and community outreach initiatives.
The Head of Department provides strategic leadership, oversees day-to-day operations, and ensures that all activities align with the goals and standards of the organization. They supervise staff, manage resources, coordinate programmes and services, and drive initiatives that improve departmental performance. The Head of Department also collaborates with other units, stakeholders, and partners to support effective service delivery and continuous development.
